WANA (Jan 24) – The Deputy Coordinator of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran stated that the Israeli regime, which once considered itself the most powerful nation in the region, is now on the brink of collapse in the face of the resistance of the nations.

Referring to the current situation in Lebanon and Palestine, he highlighted the resilience of the Lebanese people against Israel in 1983 and the siege of Beirut.

He said: “In 1983, the Israeli regime attacked and besieged Beirut, yet it failed to inflict significant harm on Lebanon, demonstrating the strength of resistance.”

The Deputy Coordinator continued: “Despite immense pressures, the Lebanese people did not surrender, proving that resistance can stand firm against major powers.”

Naghdi also touched on the dire conditions in Gaza and Palestine, stating: “In recent months, the people of Gaza have faced severe challenges, including the bombardment of infrastructure and an intense blockade. Yet, their resistance remains steadfast, reflecting their deep faith and perseverance.”

He added: “Even as these nations are deprived of basic necessities, they continue their struggle and resilience.”

Highlighting the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, he said: “In Gaza, 17,000 children have been killed, and over 70,000 people have been injured or killed in bombings. Despite this, the people of Gaza continue to stand firm against their enemies, defending their human and Islamic principles. This steadfastness and resistance will ultimately lead to the defeat of oppressive powers.”

He pointed to the failures of the U.S., Israel, and Western countries against the resistance of nations, stating: “In this war, the U.S., the Israeli regime, and Western countries have faced some of their greatest defeats.”

Naghdi emphasized that the perseverance of nations in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran has left these imperial powers at their weakest, exposing deep internal fractures. “The Israeli regime, which once considered itself the most powerful in the region, is now collapsing in the face of the nations’ resistance,” he asserted.

Addressing Western efforts to “cleanse” the Gaza region, he said: “The malevolent Western powers sought to cleanse Gaza, but they failed to achieve their goals because God fulfilled His promises and demonstrated that standing against oppression and corruption yields results.”

He concluded by declaring: “We will continue our efforts until the full liberation of Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif.”
